passport for south africa and kenya
Hello I am going to Kenya via South Africa. I land in South Africa then board a flight for Kenya. I have 2 blank pages in my passport that are not consecutive. Is this fine for entry into Kenya and South Africa? I read online that Kenya want two blank pages. However I will go via SA first and after they stamp my passport I might only have one blank page left. Help? Anyone familuar with this topic? Thanks

Depending on country of passport you're holding, South Africa doesn't require a Visa for most, but they do 'stamp' you in/out. While Kenya does require 2/pages as the Visa itself goes on one full page, no guarantee they'll need the 2nd page for inbound/outbound stamps.
However, that said if only 2/pages left in your passport... it's time for a new one and suggest you just renew it NOW regardless the expiry date. Turn-around is pretty good these days most countries.
Can I assume you are also departing from South Africa? If so, you might require a Yellow Fever inoc and proof of same even if only connecting for a homebound flight. Do verify this, please.

I realize the OP is not American but for the benefit of those who are, new pages are no longer free. It costs almost as much to get new pages as to renew, hence I will be renewing early.
Sorry for the sidebar like2safari, enjoy your trip.

... and as additional pages to be sewn in are no longer free, suggest when you renew you request the passport, with twice the number of pages. Believe standard has 24/pages, where the large is about 45. I haven't counted what's is mine, but plenty to travel anywhere. And, there was no extra charge for the addtl pages.

Isn't it a great problem to have, when your passport is so full you have to renew early?
I didn't know about the 52 page passport the last time I renewed, it's one of the many things I have learned on Fodors.

Both South Africa and Kenya will need two consecutive blank pages each. The Kenyan visa that you get on arrival is a piece of paper stuck onto the passport page.
South Africa asks for 2 blank pages as well although I have plenty of blank consecutive pages but each time I have been, they have stamped on pages that have several other stamps.

P_M - Sure is nice to see a full passport with all those pretty stamps from all over the world. The one prior to that I have now, is my favorite (and kept safe), so was only too glad to request new passport early, by a few years.
