Panasonic FZ20 for a safari camera

Hi all, I will apologize in advance if this post is considered out of line for this forum. However, there's been a lot of discussions on the Panasonic FZ20 as a great camera for safari, and several folks who would like to buy one at a discount.

Well, I'd like to sell mine. I got it over Christmas for our safari to Botswana this past June. It took absolutely fabulous pictures. (See here: http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=...&x=0&y=-2owqy7
). I've even blown some up to 16x20 and they look great hanging on the wall. The ONLY reason I'm selling it is because I'm dying to get the new FZ30.

Price is negotiable. A new model on Amazon is $483 not including tax. I'm thinking $400 for the camera, and for $450 I'll include the two extra batteries I bought (they each cost $40), plus a camera bag that is the perfect size for this camera (believe me, it took me quite a while to find a bag that fits perfectly).

Please let me know if you're interested. I thought I'd try here before going through the trouble of putting it on eBay. Again, my apologies is this is not appropriate.

Judy,

Yes, that camera has gotten good reviews here. What features does the new model have that you are so willing to upgrade from the old model?

Atravelynn, mainly because it has 8 mega pixels, and if you're shooting in 5 mega pixel mode, the optical zoom extends beyond 12x.
