Packing for long haul trip

Hey seasoned travelers... I haven't had much experience with long haul flights. What do you do (or bring) to make them more enjoyable? Thanks!

Drugs - so you can sleep.

Where are you flying from? How long is the longest leg of the trip?

You basically do what you do on a shorter flight, but get up often to walk, drink plenty of water, exercise your legs. Watch movies, read a book, play cards, whatever keeps you busy; basically just do it all over and over again for a longer period of time.

Or sleep as best you can.

To make it more pleasant for you and others, pack a small kit of personal hygiene items. It really helps you to feel more alive if you can freshen up before you land. I usually pack an extra non-wrinkle shirt or top as well. If you have space a light-weight sweater also helps. Unless you are going first or business class the blankets are never adequate. As for the rest, watch movies, sleep, books, puzzles, cards etc will help the hours pass.

Make a point of having exercise time. Every hour, map a route down and up the aisles, find a spot at the back to do some low key isometric stretching, and do something for every body part, arms, fingers, ankles, neck, etc. It helps pass the time and you won't feel stiff and cramped from sitting for hours. Get up and do your "exercises" regularly ! Other than that, a good book and pillows help. Take your shoes off as soon as possible and just settle in! The airlines also have an itinerary of movies, magazines, snack times, lights-off times, etc that will structure your flight. Have a good trip.
