Outstanding Trip

Spent 17 days in September 1998 touring South Aftica and Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Began in Cape Town, Paarl (wine country), Eastern Transvaal Area which included Pilgrim's Rest and Kruger National Park, on to Kirkman's Kamp a private game reserve, then to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The most thrilling was white water rafting below the falls. And yes, the climb in and out of the gorge was by far the worst part (750 feet) but definitely worth it. I'm 50 years old and the taxi driver told me 3 times I was too old for white water rafting. Not so, it made the trip. We had wonderful accommodations, people were very friendly and helpful. Seeing the animals in Kruger National Park is also a must, but be sure and make reservations early. Will be glad to help, e-mail me.
