Sharon,
I was wondering if you have a breakdown of how much extra the 3 nights at Mahale is costing you.

cooncat Aug 25th, 2005 10:18 AM

Patty - Ugh. I think for a single I was quoted $695 a night, and the flight RT from Arusha is $781 plus a $190 diversion fee so they could pick me up at Seronera. Are you thinking about it?

Patty Aug 25th, 2005 10:23 AM

Thanks for the figures. That's about how much I thought the flight would cost. Our plans are set for this year, but maybe next year or 2007, always thinking ahead :D

I can't believe I'm considering it. I could go to France - or elsewhere - for a couple of weeks on the Mahale portion alone! I blame all of you on this forum!!!! :-D

Take care!

Patty Aug 25th, 2005 11:04 AM

Happy to accept my share of the blame ;)

3n Katavi + 4n Mahale, 3490 EUR pps + 580 EUR ss, incl. transfer to/from Nairobi, Flycatcher Safaris (www.flycat.com)

Leely Aug 25th, 2005 11:16 AM

That's not really a bad price considering how remote I'm imagining Mahale and Katavi are.

And then of course one could tack on a little safari in Kenya...

And yeah, I'm "plannning" for years from now, too.

Hi Leely,

Aren't we all...?

I have a document on my computer labelled 'future itineraries' which could keep me busy for several years to come...

Cheers,
Julian

Oooh Julian, would love to have a peek - will you email it to me? :D
