On the way home from SA - withdrawal setting in
 

Just a quick post to report that we're now in Prague for a few days - on the way home from 3 weeks in South Africa. Stayed at Buffalo Ridge in Madikwe, Nkorho in Sabi Sand, Pondoro in Balule, Graskop, Cathedral Peak, a farm in the Karoo, Addo, Plettenburg Bay, Stellenbosch... almost 5000 km on the car. Saw mating leopards and mating leopard tortoises, great food, great visits, rained two hours the whole time...

A lengthy trip report will follow in due course; presently trying to stay awake until our hotel room is cleaned so we can remove the grime of 20hrs of travel. However, the short version is wow. As in Wow.

We'll start planning the next trip presently.

OT: I found Prague (+Venice) to be an excellent coda to my S.A. trip last year. Prague doesn't have the landscape, the creatures, or pristine air; but the magnificent streets -- some of them filled with music -- plus the charm of Prague's people made for a wonderful dessert after a main course of Sabi Sands and the Western Cape.
