Olduvai question
 

Hello,
We are planning to go on a safari in Tanzania and Kenya. Among other places, in Tanzania we will be going to Ngorongoro crate, and then to Olduvai Gorge. I have not seen many people talk about Olduvai in this forum, but here is the question.

We plan to visit "shifting sands" in Olduvai. These are basically magnetic dust. Has anyone been there? How close dod you get to the dunes? Did your credit cards, phone etc get afftected by being close to the dunes?

We did visit the shifting sands. I can confirm that the magnetic field is too weak to affect the credit cards in wallet.
