We use the "last minute trip" on OAT and save money. It's all a game with the tour companys. Most have last minute travel, Advantage, Viking, etc. You take your chances. Stiffing the guides-how very sad.

I certainly agree that's it's unfair to not tip the guides and drivers, who will work just as hard for the Warrens as they do for the other travelers - probably harder because I suspect Mr. Warren will not be easy to please. As for not getting the lower price, that's a chance you take when you book early. If you delay booking, as with airfares the price could just as easily go up as down, or there may be no openings for the dates you want.
