I am looking forward to the ride to the airport with your dad and any sightings along the way that always seem to kick off your reports.

"Mission failed."

Say it ain't so. The sooner I read all the sordid details the sooner I and other Fodorites can brainstorm actual, good ideas for your next trip.

Leopard cubs! Baby eles! Cheetahs! Topis for days! Your photos speak of an amazing trip.

Welcome home and I'm sorry to do so. Still looking forward to your report. Hopefully you'll get to it sooner than Sandi.

Nyamera, I saw your picture post at the other place and thought you had fantastic game viewing. I'm a big cat fan, so I really enjoyed the Leopardess with cubs most especially, and also the Cheetahs and the Lioness with cubs... Whatever the disapointing outcome of having to leave Kenya, you sure had some great animal experiences on this trip!

Agree Nyamera, your pics are fantastic! Seems you didn't miss anything except a PM. Hope you have better luck next year and can't wait for your report!
Aloha!

I'm in agreement with everyone else here -- looking forward to your report! The baby leopard photos made my day.

OK, I confess, the wildlife was amazing and I personally provided almost all the stupidity, with the help of some human beings. Iíve almost finished writing day 1, but I wonít post anything until Iíve finished the Mara part. After the Mara things went downhill and became too sordid for most Fodorites.

Absolutely great photos.

Can't imagine what was "stupidest" whatever. Did I miss something?

I'm also sure your report will be posted way before mine, yet my pics may be coming soon and nowhere near as great as yours... though everywhere I turned were topi, topi, topi and more topi! Whoopie!

But you do sordid so well.

If these sightings and pictures are part of the stupidest trip, I can only hope my upcoming trip comes in as Dumb and Dumber.

I don't remember so many crocs and zebra shots in a river crossing. Then to have the other and baby leopard drinking with their reflections--was that before or after the nursing leopard cub?

Welcome back, Nyamera! Sorry to hear it didn't turn out as you had hoped.
Must say, you've really got my curiousity peaked -- especially since we're using the same operator for our safari in 4 weeks time. Loved your photos btw! Just hope we're as lucky with our wildlife viewing.
So, no pressure now...but please provide all details, sordid and otherwise, asap!
No pressure now...

Yes, no pressure, Nyamera, I am still only on Sept. 07 for my trip report reading - but pictures are another thing! Can't wait to view them at lunch tomorrow.

Although, mind you promise not to tell, but I have a feeling I will skip ahead a bit and do a 'sneak read' on your report once it's up as you have me intrigued!!!

Welcome home, your family (that's us) missed you!

Thanks for all the nice words and expectations. Iíve googled the definition of sordid to make sure I havenít promised too much. Kenya was very, very dry and dusty.

Somuch2c, Iím slow and thereís a risk Iíll not finish the report before you leave. You have nothing to fear, it was an OK safari company. I wasnít overly impressed, but thatís because I have unreasonable expectations.

Lynn, the cubs had water first and then milk. Have a dumb and dumber trip Ė tomorrow!

Now I have to write.
