November Weather
Have seen info on March-April ans Sept-Oct. How about November? We are planning to be in Egypt during the first two weeks of November 2005. Any suggestions for appropriate clothing in Cairo and on cruise? How cool does it get in the evening? We are also doing a "sleep under the stars" in the desert!
Thanks in advance.

We visited end October/begin November. Cairo was warm mid-70s/low-80s during the day, but cool in the evenings, probably low mid-60s. While 60s can be comfortable in the heart of Cairo, many places especially along the Nile can be cooler.
While on the Nile cruise in Upper Egypt (between Luxor/Aswan and at Abu Simbel) it is much warmer, actually rather hot with temps running into the low 90s. The evenings, however, do get cooler, dropping maybe down to mid-60s... 30-degrees is a lot after being in the sun all day. There were some evenings when the temperature drop wasn't as noticeable, nor requiring warmer clothing, but others were obviously cool. So a jacket or sweater should definitely be packed. If spending the evening sleeping out in the desert, expect the same temperature changes and pack sleepwear accordingly. As the months move away from summer (from October - April) the temps generally go down, but what I've indicated above was our experience.
As to overall clothing requirements, there are lots of threads on this board that discuss this; do a search in the box on the top of this board and you can read thru the threads that will appear in the column on the left.
