November in Kenya

Wow, thanks Judy, Incognito and Sandi! Quick responses. We are leaving Vancouver in the last week of October, for four weeks in Kenya or thereabouts. We have a cousin in Nairobi, so we will spend a day or two in that city. After that, we would essentially like to head west to the lake.
Most "safari" tours seem to be 10 days, so we would like tips on what else to see after the city and a 10 day safari.
We especially like hiking and kayaking, good restaurants and unique hotels. Is there such a thing as B and B in the area?

THanks.

Go into Tanzania - there's plenty to see there. You can do the northern circuit of Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, the Serengeti (Northern and Western), even Lake Victoria.

You can also add on time to any set safari itinerary - instead of 3-dys in the Mara you can stay 4, and what do some of the itineraries look like? Some might include certain stops but not others, and you can add other.

Give us an idea of a sample 10-day Kenya itinerary and we can advise where to moderate (add or delete).

And, oh how lovely to have 4-weeks! Certainly enough time to get over to the Seychelles.
