November at victoria falls
 

I am a single female 56 yrs old and will be visiting cape town 7 days and then Tanzania another 7 days visiting several safari sites. Prior to Tanzania I will be two days in Victoria falls on my own. I am looking forward to this trip but sInce it is the dry season i am not quite sure what will be the best places to visit during this time and whether i should venture into one of the parks. Can someone provide me some suggestions it will be greatly appreciated

From Vic falls you could do Chobe in Botswana.Its the end of the dry season in Zambia and Zimbabwe and once the mighty falls is down to a 'trickle'.If you have a few more days,Hwange NP is a good option.2 days wouldn't suffice.

How many days do you suggest ? I will see about changing my travel dates

Zimbabwe side will be great because it is clean as well, it will be rain season.

We visited in Nov which was great for the Falls as they were't at full flow and we could see everything. More water on the ZIM side; only a trickle on the ZAM side. There were occasional showers but nothing to inhibit walking the length of the falls. Got some great pics

From VFA we did a road trip to Chobe (1/hr) BOTS for 2/nts and again had some light showers - no big deal. But if going into BOTS you'll have to purchase a multi-entry Visa for Zim in order to return; assuming flying from ZIM to JNB before onto TNZ. Might be better to head to Hwange instead. Daytime temps were rather humid as weather was going into the summer months.

Can do early Falls walk - 1hr is sufficient - and then arrange to head out to Hwange, where 2days is sufficient unless you need more. Don't think so as you have TNZ waiting for you.

Plan 4-5 nights out of Vic Falls.As mentioned above,1/2 a day is good enough for the walk,or an early morning copter charters or powerglider flight.Little to do there unless you are into adventure sport or an adrenalin junk (bungee,white water,gorge swing).
You can pick either Hwange or Chobe.Some great camps and incredible wildlife experience,a different landscape compared to the grasslands of Tanzania
