Northern Morocco in December- enough time?
 

Hey all! I've been to Marrakech and a little of Casa two years ago and I loved it. Now as part of my 33 days Spain-Lisbon-Morocco trip, I'm planning to go back to cities I've not been in Morocco which is my dream places.

I've extracted the Moroccan leg of my trip. Do you all think this is feasible? Or a little illogical? Does buses/train runs easily for my plan?
Do let me know if I'm missing out on things. I am open to possibly adding 2-3 days for Morocco and cancellin out some cities from my Spanish leg.

Also, I'm a visual artist and poet, I know places like Fes and Chef would be amazing! I love medina and textures instead of sea. Love stars and culture too! I'm also doing a postgrad research on mosque architectural evolution in Singapore. :)

Too many days in Chaouen. Don't forget Volubilis, Moulay Idriss, Rabat, and Asilah.

I agree. With so few days altogether, take a day from Chefchaouen, add it to Fes. I'd hire a grand taxi for transport from Chefchaouen to Fes so you can take your time with a stop at Volubilis along the way. Also, I suggest you stay in Fes to do day trips in the area, including Meknes, easily done by train, no need to move to Meknes. You might want to spend your last night in Tangier so you have an easier day getting to Granada.

09 DEC SEVILLE - TANGIER (ferry in) - if possible, continue on (bus or grands taxi) to CHEFCHAOUEN

10 DEC CHEFCHAOUEN - explore the medina and surrounding hills

11 DEC FÈS (bus or grands taxi)

12 DEC FÈS - explore the medinas of Fès el-Bali and Fès Jdid

13 DEC FÈS - day trip to Meknès, Volubilis and Moulay Idriss Zerhoun

14 DEC FÈS - perhaps a cooking class followed by a hammam experience

15 DEC TANGIER - (train)

16 DEC TANGIER - explore the medina and also the historical quarter of the Ville Nouvelle

17 DEC TANGIER - day trip to Asilah

18 DEC TANGIER - Granada (Ferry back)

However, I understand if you're leaning more to your original itinerary to enable you to soak up as much mosque architectural evolution as possible.

How was your trip? We are going in May and have only 3-1/2 days. Would love to hear what you liked best and how you travelled between cities. We arrive in Tangier on a Thurs. morning ad need to be in Granada, Spain that Monday morning. Any advice is appreciated!
