Nile Cruise

Has anyone been on a Nile cruise on the Oberoi Zahra? Comments please!

The Oberoi cruises are usually wonderful. We were on the Oberoi Sheharazad many years ago and it was great.

Zahara is the newest Oberoi boat and probably the nicest on the Nile. In fact, it is an "all suite" boat, and rated better than the A&K boat. Great choice!

Has anyone else here seen the A&K boats? As I recall they didn't even have a tub in the bathroom - just a small shower stall. That alone does not rate deluxe in my book. For all the hoop-la about A&K, I expected better.

A&K goes on name reputation. Their current boat (believe it's Sun V or VI) that looks more like yacht than traditional Nile cruiser, actually has rather small cabins. When my friend was in Egypt scoping out hotels and boats for a major hi-end outfitter, he commented on the recently launched Zahara compared to the A&K boat and there was none.

Hey, even our Movenpick boat had a small tub though admittedly too small to be comfy, but great to soak the feet at days end. :)
