Newark parking
 

Realize this isn't the US board but thought some of my African peers could help. Will be flying out of Newark Int Airport for next trip. Already know of several parking sites. Welcome any comments you may have on experience and there and any recommendations. Thanks. Dick

Any of the long term lots are OK with shuttles running every few minutes during normal business hours.

Or you can use the parking garages for about $10.00 per day (I think - could be more) and take the monorail to the 3 terminals.

Either way they are both safe and convenient.

Depending on where you live in relationship to the Newark airport and the lenght of your trip we have always found it is cheaper to hire a car service to take us both ways, rather than leave a car at the aiprot. As I said it depends on how far from the airport you start.

Out of Newark or Philadelphia I use AviStar Parking. Less of a hassle, they shuttle you right to your terminal, and they have your car ready and waiting for you when you come back. I find the prices comparable if not cheaper using the web daily/weekly discount coupons and I like not having to schlep my luggage in bad weather through a maze of an airport parking lot. You must, however, reserve in advance or you'll be turned away. They have 2 locations for Newark, depending on where you're driving from.

Thanks to all! I knew I could count on fellow Fodorites. My first approach was to consider a one-way rental car from central Pa and then another one-way for the return trip. Price from State College was something like $81 (included tax and all). But, was well over $200 for auto picked up at Newark airport! So, parking lot/garage it is. Thanks. Dick
