New Years Eve in Marrakech

We will be in Marrakech over new years and cannot believe how expensive it
is. It seems that any of the nice restaurants really up the prices Do not particularly care about a dinner show but would like to go out to a great dinner. La Maison Arabe is asking 2500 dirhams per person since they also have entertainment and I am sure some liquor which of course really ups the price in a muslim country. If anyone has other suggestions. . . I am out of ideas. When in Fez a few years ago for new years, we got stuck paying
some outrageous price for a mediocre dinner that took forever to be served and don't want to get stuck again.

It's New Year's, what do you expect? You can either cough up for a restaurant, or rough it at one of the stalls in the main square.
