New Year's Eve in Cape Town
 

My wife and I will be spending New Year's Eve in Cape Town this year. We're in our forties, and enjoy good food & wine, lively people, and good music. Cost is not a major concern--any recommendations and/or contacts??

Try the Zevenwacht Wine Estate. They normally have a New Years Eve dinner/dance that is superb. Last year they had dinner in their main restaurant (one of the best in the Cape). Dessert, music, dancing etc followed in their mountaintop lookout until the small hours of the morning. They like to keep the dress formal, but penguin suits are not compulsory. I think the cost was R150 p/p inclusive of drinks. Numbers are limited so book early! their fax no is 021-9033373

Hi i am a capetonian living in England, Zevenwacht is a good
idea, stunning location. If you are into a little more of a lively
evening then most of the restaurants in Cape Towns infamous Waterfront
have dinner and entertainment on the evening and the whole waterfront area
is amass with people, and there is loads going on all night.
The atmosphere is really good, again you have to book and tickets range from
about R100 - R200 per person. good luck!

in the waterfront with a little description if you are interested!
