New to Google Earth today

Check out the new stuff in GE that just came out today. You need the latest downloads to see it. To view it, you will also need the settings as in the following pdf.

Have a look at the place mark of the Mutobuko Ceremony in Zambia.

Yep--now the Chief and the ceremony are world famous.

This is great stuff! I told the guys at tracks4africa about 2 years ago to put their data to GE!

Thanks for posting this!

Have you zoomed in? Tracks4Africa has put in their recorded tracks, roads and a lot of other great information. You can do a safari from Capetown to Cairo in GE.

This is great!

Maybe I'm just dense, but I can't get this to work, and it looks like it would be great. "Imagery", which is referenced in their "how to" info, doesn't show up on my google earth. Is there some secret?

Don't worry. I don't get the imagery thing either. May have to do with the paid variety of GE.

Go to Help>Check for Updates Online

If you get that, then thats the best you can probably do. Zoom in on a few places like Vic Falls. The tracks, roads and points of interest may take a few seconds if you have dial-up.

I don't have imagery either so I just started with step 2. I'm not sure what difference having imagery makes.
