rocco:
very much enjoyed the photos |
20+ more photos just uploaded. Highlights include more porcupine photos, some yawning hippos, a Cookson's Wildebeest in the Nsefu area of South Luangwa, a nice baboon shot, some more nice lion shots including that skinny lion getting very close to some pukus (about 5 meters away) and a Nile Crocodile struggling to eat a big catfish. The closeup lion shots are from when the lioness was within about two meters away from me while I was in an open-sided (doorless) Puku Ridge vehicle. I got quite the false sense of security from my camera! :)

Oh, and how could I forget...there is a very well appointed elephant bull in this latest group! :) Also, a bushbuck and a pair of waterbuck posed together nicely.

Finally had time to look through your gallery. Awesome! Did you do a private vehicle at Kwando? Otherwise your one photo showing six people with barely enough room to hold a point and shoot, one of my issues with Kwando. It all looks a little too much like the abck of the plane. Love the birds, tell me, the first roller, looks very pale on the breast, is it a racket tailed rather than Lilac breasted? Also is the eagle a steppe? |
Matt
yes I ahd a private vehicle. The Roller is a Racket Tailed. They are quite common in the Caprivi strip and north of Lagoon Camp. The Eagle is a Tawny Michael |
