NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE RECOMMENDATIONS
 

My husband and I will be traveling to South Africa next October and want to obtain travel insurance. We have been referred to USI Travel Insurance Services (Travel Insurance Select). Has anyone used this insurer?

We are looking for a "cancel for any reason" policy.

Try using http://www.squaremouth.com/?qti=trav...rance_match.pl to get quotes from a number of insurers. Through that site I purchased cancel-for-any-reason policies from Travel Insured International (Trip Protector Lite Expanded and WTP - Comprehensive Plan).

You can also check www.insuremytrip.com where there are various providers. Check the drop down menus for those that might have "cancel for any reason"

I think both Travelex and Travel Guard have policies that include cancel for any reason. I've used Travelex a few times. On my trip to the Canadian Rockies a couple of months ago I lost my camera. Travelex reimbursed me for the replacement cost with no problem.

I've used Travel Guard many times, and they do have a "cancel for any reason" but it's very pricey. Been happy with them, but I haven't had to collect, and that's the only real test.
