Need help planning trip to Israel & Istanbul in June

I am traveling with my husband and 22 year old daughter, they have both been to Israel (30 years ago for my husband!), but I have not. I have wanted to go for years, and am very excited. We will have about 10 days in Israel, and then 4 -5 in Istanbul, where we will be visiting with my nephew & his wife, and she is a native. I am looking for an outline of the Israel part of my trip. How many days in each city, and where to start, etc.

HI! First of all, if it has been 30 years for your husband --then it might as well be his first time. It is easier to give trip guidance if something about you and your interests are known. What is your religion? ( so guidance as to what sites to visit can be offered) Generally speaking I would probably go first to Tel Aviv and stay for 2 days to see things in the area. I would then rent a car and go North for another 3 days. Finally I would spend my last 4 days in Jerusalem. ( returning the car since you don't need or want it)

We are Jewish, and of course want to see the highlights, Yad Vashem, Masada, Dead Sea, etc. I was also thinking 4 days in Jerusalem. We may enlist the use of a private guide, as we have done that during other travels and have found that to be a wonderful experience. We will also need to visit a kibbutz that my husband spent 6 months on (in 1973!), in Afula. Thank you for any help.

Elkaz' itinerary is good. I would add that when leaving the Galilee you should drive directly to the Dead Sea via the Jordan Valley, and then on to Jerusalem.

Please give some more details about what your interests are: history, religion, nature, food, entertainment, etc - and we vcan make some more specific suggestions.
