If anyone has been to cairo/luxor/Sharm el sheik, would appreciate any tips or suggestions.

Hi, Tina<BR>Are you going with a tour ,or independent traveling ? Last time I was in Egypt was 1994, here is some tips<BR>must do: Egyptian museum, pyramids and the Old churches in old Cairo ( some of them are 18 centuries old) walk around and shop in Khan el khalily ( nice crafts) watch a belly dancer at one of cairo night clubs.<BR>don't stay in Cairo all the vacation time, because Luxur has lots of wonderful historic sites. sharm el sheik has magnificent diving and snorkling beaches.<BR> have fun

was there last summer, July,. Excellent trip. Very hot!, take powder gator aide to put in water bottles, drink lots, take the nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan then fly to Abu Simbel, worth the extra cost. Be sure to adjust camera to the bright light, wearing capris and short sleeves is fine,go to cairo museum, stay at the cairo Marriott palace if possible if not, tour it, it was a palace built during the opening of the Suez canal. Many of the rooms are just as originally furnished. Temples of luxor and Karnack were great! Valley of Kings tour very hot in summer.

My tip? Go in November. Perfect weather. Sometimes hottish (but not boiling) and at other times, balmy.
