I was assuming that they were insects--could it be tinkerbelle and her friends?

I was wondering about fireflys or something similar. But now that you mention Tinkerbelle I had better take another look.............

oops, she might be offended if I do not spell her name correctly--apparently it is Tinker Bell in the play and changed to Tinkerbell by Disney.

Anyone out there using a Mac running OSX to view the Wild Cam? Every time I try to view it, some programme called 'Graphic Converter' opens instead of Real Player. Help!

Cheers,
Julian

Julian,

Do you have RealPlayer installed on your Mac?

I better publish the download link - the RealNetwork site is a 'little' confusing if you're only interested in the free player:
http://forms.real.com/real/player/bl...=0&src=macjack

There are also support links on the page.

I've got a new Mac, Julian -- I downloaded the newest (free) realplayer for Mac OS X and it works. I had to actually read the instructions, but it does work.

I have RealPlayer and it works fine -- but for some reason .rm files like those used by NG automatically get shunted to 'Graphic Convertor'. Do you know how to change the default application for a particular file type?

Cheers,
Julian

Julian,

I'm not a Mac user, so this is more theoretical help. I assume RealPlayer/Mac has File menu similar to the Windows version. Choose File,Open and enter the stream address

Never mind -- I ditched that irritating application and it works fine now.

Now that I've gotten it to work, nothing's happening...though the sounds of the bush are certainly nice to hear again!

Cheers,
Julian

The action starts at sunrise, and at 6:00 SAT the camera switches to colour.

Very active today at Pete's Pond. Earlier there was a herd of elephants with the cutest calves. Then followed a couple of eland, a small herd of zebra, some impies, and a lone bull just visited and left.

Not as good as being there in person, but beggars can't be choosers

Thanks napamatt:
I finally saw elephants! I had not been able to stay awake late enough or get up early enough to catch the prime morning hours.

Aprox. 20.00 I saw a leopard walk past Pete’s Pond. The camera is obviously not manned at this hour and it didn’t follow the leopard that was visible only a few seconds. I started to think that maybe it had been a lioness when I heard a leopard “sawing”.

Is that a warthog sleeping by the side of the pond? How odd...
