Kavey...what's the name of that Kodak website???

I would like to try and post some of my photos from Singita and Matetsi last year.

Was it hard to get your pictures setup. I barely know how to download my digital photos on a CD so anything too complicated will not fly.

Thanks.

I'm not the person asked and shoot, I'm not even on the forum where I usually read.

But I did by chance happen to know that Kodak's photo upload/order site is www.ofoto.com since I was passing by and all.

Ofoto is what I have used - other friends use webshots - both offer similar services.

What I did before uploading was to create low resolution copies of the images first - quicker to upload that way and I figured none of my stuff is good enough for people to want prints anyway!

Kavey,

I attempted to create my own photo album on www.ofoto.com and after about 30 minutes of uploading, it appeared that all my photos had been successfully loaded...and then...nothing!

Did it take your photos a few hours to appear on the website or did they initially appear immediately???

Thanks.

Never mind, I think I successfully uploaded my first pic, although it is one from Singita last year.

Has anybody ever ordered photographs from www.ofoto.com, and if so, how is the quality. I go to a very good place that gives me great photos, but the prices on www.ofoto.com are about half the price that I am paying now.

I will definitely put in an order but I was just wondering if anybody has already ordered any photos? Thanks.

Roccco,

We've ordered some of our digital shots as prints from Ofoto. Quality will depend on the original shot size and resolution, of course, but they did pretty well.

When(if) you order, the software will recommend a maximum size. We pushed it one past the recommendantion on a couple of shots and have them on our wall. They came out well.

I don't know that they do a perfect job, but not worse than others. They did "clean up" a landscape shot I took and I wasn't happy about it, as the original was dark, foggy and sort of brooding. They fixed it for free with one email, no arguments and didn't charge for shipping.

I will say though, that if you're considering soley on the basis of cost, the warehouse clubs Costco and Sam's do digital to print even cheaper, if you have one of those nearby.
