Before all the current problems is there anyone who reads this board who has traveled to Iraq either as a tourist or to visit friends and family.

The American people give no real information about the people and culture of Iraq. I was told it is really one of the most civilized places in the middle east and the people are wonderful and cultured, just the government is bad.

What can you tell me about Iraq as a place?

Hello Howard. I did a google search on Iraq country info and came up with thousands of links. Along with many political/economic links there were literally dozens of links to history and culture some info from expats of Iraq as well. It should not be too difficult to get a wide range of info on Iraq.
