Nairobi
I am soon traveling to Nairobi. Any restaurant you could suggest for dinner?
Thanks |
what are your preferences?
Indian, Thia etc, plenty choices in Nairobi. Personally I enjoy the "Pavement", as it has a fabulous menu, for my pallette anyway. |
If you go to the last 6 pics. on my album you'll see the menu and pics. of Carnivore in Karen outside of Nairobi.

We've also eaten at Pavement and it was excellent, with a good diverse menu. It's located in the Westlands area of Nairobi.
Besides the Carnivore, there is the Thorn Tree at The Stanley Hotel, the Delamere Terrace at The Norfolk. But, there are so many more choices, including excellent Italian, Continental, Indian, Thai, etc. etc. Just ask the conceirge at your hotel... they have a list of restaurants to meet your taste, budget and location from where you're staying. |
What kind of food does Pavement do? Would it be suitable for a 'serious' carnivoue AND a VERY strict vegetarian?
We have Handi in our sights for one evening meal but need a suggestion for our second night. Imelda |
I have heard handi is very good. Never been there, myself

Handi IS very good.
Also Tamambo in the same mall. I've had so many good restaurant meals in Nairobi. I like the Brazilian place at the Panari Hotel (forgotten name... but you'll find it) which does meat like the Carnivore but superious trimmings! Great salad bar too. Find some one to take you for a proper Nyama Choma experience if you like meat and beer. |
We're also looking for a good, decent priced restaurant for dinner on our last night. We'll be coming in from the Mara around 5pm and our flight doesn't leave until midnight. Any suggestions of centrally located restaurants? We're not really interested in Carnivore.

If I was heading for the airport I would go to the Panari. It takes the risk out of getting stuck in traffic as it's on the airport road.
