hi yi
Is it september 2007 ? & Is this the final itinerary ?

If both yes - very few comments are possible...

since you have a lot of time in Nakuru - spend the morning in Naivasha before leaving to Nakuru
+ drive up Menengai Crater a beautiful view point & geological phenomena - a 'broken' Caldera (virtually a "collapsed Ngorongoro&quot
many drivers don't know the road but if not tell him to ask around or take "Menengai Drive" from the sity up towards the broadcasting Antenna.
(once, on a big incentive group, only 1 of 7 safari drivers knew this road...)

hi?

Good itinerary of your visit to kenya. We do have tourist peak season during the month of September so it will be advisable to book all the flights and make hotel reservations well in advance.

If you have not yet made the arrangements we would be happy to assist. Contact Ann at [email protected] or visit our website to compare game drive prices.

Thank you in advance.

Hi aby,

Many thx for your reply & suggestion. Yes,this is our final itineray & we will go there in Sept this yr.

on 27/9, we will spend a morning to go to Crescent Island. (but my agent haven't tell me how much to pay to go there yet)

About drive up to Menengai Crater at the summit of the crater (2,278 m - 7,474 ft.) , do u think we should do it on 28/9 after game & breakfast? Any idea how long to drive from (Sarova Lion Hill game lodge / Lake Nakuru Lodge)? Is the road rough there?

Many thx for your input.
Yi

Hi Yi

do you know what time is your flight from Mara?
anyhow it is actually better to do Crescent Island in the morning, because afternoon rains can be expected...
i would try to go & see Crateer Lake on the first day. an awesome spot - a crater lake surrounded by a yellow-fever Acacia forest with (black & white) Colobus Monkeys! & a chance to see flamingoes in the lake - There's a beautiful viewpoint on the way (get out of the car & climb a bit)
down on the shore there's a cute little camp (for next time or honeymoon). take a drink & and measure your blood pressure - it's gone down by 30% or else your money back guaranteed...

to get to Menengai you need to drive to the gate (passing on the way some leopard territories keep your eyes on the trees) from the gate i reckon it's about half an hour. don't know the road situation, but the first part is on "Menegai drive" a good road.
When coming down u r facing the lake with the pink margin!!
a good friend of mine just returned saying there are 2 million flamingoes in Nakuru

the guy is a birdwatcher with over 20 years of experience & perspective...

in Mara during September u r in a very good location, as Serena is close to a crossing
remember u can take a picnic breakfast & have a looong game-drive if you wish...
