Muscat in April

I am thinking of visiting Muscat in April and would be interested to hear from anyone who's been. Has anyone stayed at the recently opened Chedi hotel?

April is still a good time and not too hot! Try to avoid Easter time period as it can be a very busy time for tourists.
Have only visited Chedi to have a look ,never stayed- more modern decor than other 5stars in Muscat. It is located about half way between the airport and Muscat. Nice pool but the beach is not as good as Al Bustan. I did not eat there. Friends tell me numerous rooms do not have seaview if that matters.
I have always enjoyed the Al Bustan Palace.
The beach is there very nice and private. The service is generally very good. Exception can be at holiday periods when hotel is full with families. However this would pertain to all hotels.
The Al Bustan evening buffets are excelent.

I'm with Molker on this one. The Al Bustan would indeed be your best choice.
