Morocco with children?

I'm thinking of a trip to Morocco in January next year. Can anyone offer any advice on whether Marrakech is a suitable place to take children under 10? They are quite well travelled, having been to Greece, Italy, France etc but never Africa, so I'm a bit anxious.

I have not done this trip, but am always looking for exciting trips to do with my step-daugthers (8&9).
To give you some ideas for a kid-oriented Morroco trip, take a look at the following link for a family tour to Morroco by Imaginative Traveller. I am not usually one for group travel, but I have read that these type of group-family oriented trips are great for kids, as there are other children their age to play with, which can make it easier for the grown-ups to relax.

Depending on the size of your family, you can look into renting out an entire riad in Marrakech. The prices are pretty reasonable.

Happy planning.
