Morocco: Too hot in mid September?

Hello Morocco travelers,

I'm considering two dates for a Morocco tour, which will include a couple of days in the desert. First one leaves Sept. 7 for two weeks and the second one leaves Sept. 14 with the last four days (3 in Marrakesh) falling into Ramadan. I'm sure I'll want to shop and wonder about options on those days.

I prefer the earlier date to avoid being there during Ramadan but am somewhat concerned about the heat during the first two weeks.

Thanks for any input.

Well, you will have missed the worst of the heat by September. Remember that although it does get very hot, the humidity is very low, so it doesn't tend to be too uncomfortable.

Given the choice, I'd go early and miss Ramadam. A week isn't going to make much difference in temperature, anyway..

Thanks Mark,

I had the same thought about it being only one week, but was thinking it would be somewhat cooler in the desert area so it's a trade off between perhaps a bit cooler and the four days of Ramadan.

Thanks for your reply.
