Morocco in January 2000. Help!

I'm planing to go to Morocco in Januray for two weeks. Is it to cold around Marrakech? Is it possible to drive from there to Fez? It's going to be Ramadan. Any big problem?
Thank you in advance!!

1) we were in Morocco in early October, and the temperatures were in the high 70's/low 80's during the day (it's the desert - the sun is HOT). During January, lows in the 40s, highs in the 60s (I'm a desert dweller in the US, and these are typical temps for the desert). Don't be fooled by the temperature; the sun is still intense, so wear sunscreen and a hat.

2) You can drive from Marrakech to Fez; we chose to take the train while in Morocco. For trips into the Atlas Mountains, we hired a car and driver (very inexpensive, the roads are scary, everyone can see the incredible scenery if you hire a driver).

We loved Morocco; great food, wonderful people, and a chance to see and experience a culture and way of life that's so different from ours.
