Member of ASTA?

I just went to ASTA to file a complaint on my favorite "travel agent" and it turns out that even though that logo is on the Destiny Africa site they are not ASTA members.

I almost hate to pose this question again as it blew up last time but has anyone heard from Rocco?

How important is it to a traveler that their agent be an ASTA member? I only ask because I looked at the application (http://www.astanet.com/join/pdf/Trav...pplication.pdf), and to me, at least, it doesn't seem to ask anything about quality. It seems more like a business organization that survives through annual dues and it thrives by expanding its base. Will it kick out a member after that member has received a certain number of complaints?

Just a reminder: though Julian's name still appears on the D.A. website he is no longer associated with Destiny Africa.

Haven't heard from Rocco since he reappeared last month.

dwc-you're leaving soon? Good luck and have a great time!

While I didn't follow the "Rocco posts" closely, I am curious about how those issues were finally resolved. DWC, can you shed some light? Thanks

luangwablondes (and anyone else), could you PLEASE PLEASE use www.tinyurl.com next time you are tempted to copy in a huge URL?

Huge URLs really make the thread difficult to follow, and tinyurl.com is not a challenging site to use. Thanks.

Imagine that...the DA website has not been updated to remove Julian, when did the partnership cease, months ago at least...
