Mara Serena Vehicles

Does anyone have information and / or photos of the Mara Serena game drive vehicles? Correspondance from them states:
'The game drive vehicles are open topped roof and open sided. We do have two types of vehicles
with a max. of 5 pax
with a max. of 7 pax '

Does this mean the whole roof folds down and not those 'hole in the roof' type?

Here's a picture from the Serena website - http://www.serenahotels.com/kenya/ma...asp?photoid=14

As the photo shows, the top is open, but there is canvas that rolls over if the weather turns... rain, wind, dust, etc. They also have canvas rolled above the windows which can be turned down and secured.

Governor's camp vehicles are exactly what Sandi described on the post above. Was very good and we did hv to roll down the canvas roof when there was a brief 10 minute shower.

Basically they have two types and both are nice. They do have a rigid frame but the tops are open - not just small holes to go through. Some have windows on the side (7 seater) and some have canvas roll down sides (5 seater). I personally prefer the latter but the windows were better when it rained.

I think you’ve already seen my pictures from a couple of years ago but in the Mara slide show there is a picture of the ‘windows’ version of the vehicle (about 15 pictures from the end) and in the Samburu you can see the canvas version (about 15 from the front).

Thanks a million guys, both types look fine. I don't think I could bare it if it were those vehicles with the little holes on top to look out of.
