Maleria Free Safari
Hi,
I am planning a safri (4 nights) at Madikwe. Been told best Maleria-free place to go. Any comments or suggestions on lodges? We are a family of 5 & 9 month old baby, so would like to keep it intimate. I am looking at a private lodge or family suites options. Any comments on Impodimo ro Morukuru? Vhembe |
I can't help on either of those camps, but I spent one night at Rhulani (which has a family chalet), and it was lovely. It is the only proper safari I've been on as yet, and we really enjoyed it. Had two game drives, saw loads of ele's, and spent the morning with a pride of lions eating on an eland.

You may have seen these, but here is some reading material on Madikwe. I don't know if it addresses the accommodations you have mentioned, but there are detailed comments on other places.

CC Africa's Madikwe Safari Lodge is a great option. They have one of their camps set up for families and have baby sitters available too. They offer a fantastic product and the service is wonderful and the staff incredibly friendly and accommodating. Check them out at www.ccafrica.com
Can't help with the other lodges you asked about... Cheers! Viv www.wavejourney.com |
Hi Vhembe,
Madikwe is a great place. I remember checking out out Impodimo and I think it would meet your needs. I stayed at Mateya, which is intimate, but not geared for families. Can't comment on Morkuru. If you have children besides the baby, check out Jaci's. Very family oriented and has kids safari's for just the kids. There are many very good lodges in Madikwe |
