Malaria Vaccine on the way....

If you're planning a trip to Kenya* for 2013, you might be able to have a malaria jab. . .

…blogspot.com/2010/01/end-of-malaria-tablets…

It's about time!

*and most any other destination where malaria is found

I can't read the link either, but I'm assuming that you're talking about the RTS,S vaccine that's been making the news lately. Here's a fact sheet on that vaccine: http://www.malariavaccine.org/files/FS_RTSS_FINAL.pdf

Note that it's effective in reducing clinical malaria by 35% (so far). That's not great, but as the fact sheet says, these results have established it as the most advanced malaria vaccine candidate.

well, it's no less than a begginning of a REVOLUTION

i'm seriousely considering to change the malaria status from "Political sickness" to a 'conventional illness'
{"Political" because for years the first world has seen the malaria as "" helping"" to solve 'demographic issues' in the poor, sometimes hungry, 3rd world}

the allocation of scientific research funds was not in correlation to number of casualties...
(this attitude changed when work started to decipher the Malaria genome - already completed)
