Lunch in Franschoek
Which is better for lunch?
Should I do the picnic at boschendal or le petit ferme or grande provence? Since this is for lunch, I would like to be able to eat great food with a view. Thanks I already reserved meals at LQF, Reubens, Le Bon Vivant. |
Fluke,
If you are looking for a great meal with a wonderful view then out of your choices Le Petit Ferme wins hands down. Hope you enjoy your Cape Town stay. Very proudly part of the wonderful ((r))nation of South Africa |
Our lunch at Le Petit ferme was one of our most memorable. The setting, the view, and the food - all spectacular.
|
I agree one hundred percent Le Petit is an experiance that should not be missed!
|
great i made a reservation at le petit ferme! thanks!!!
|
Le Petit Ferme is a lovely place with an astounding view from the window tables and the lawns, but I would caution you to tone down your expectations regarding the food. Delicious, yes, but in no way would I call it four-star cuisine. It is more of a comfort food place, in my humble opinion. I believe they are known for their lamb and for their eggplant tarte.
|
Similarly, I would tone down your expectations for LQF and LBV too. JMO (coming from CA). Didn't try Ruebens.
|
ok i wont expect too much, like best restaurants in NYC? but then again in NYC it would cost way more!! and you dont get the scenery!
thanks again! |
That's true, dining out costs a fraction of what it does here. And if you go with the right expectations, it should be very enjoyable. I think our problem was we had too high expectations. Enjoy!
