Loose ends ...
Hi All,
I am off to Kenya in October 6 day safari and 8 days Mombassa. I have read most of the archived posts for tips (booked a ballon flight on your recomendations). However I still have a few 'blank spots'
1) Weather in October, does it get cold at night or just chilly ?
2) Evening wear in the Safari Lodges, casual or smart?
3)Have one night in Nairobi, any good restaurants/bars?
4) Anything that I shouldnt miss in Mombassa ?
I would appreciate any help you can give me !!
Thanks
Tracy

1) it may be chilly at night but not really cold - I remember that one night we had dinner around the fireplace in one of our lodges in the mountains (we went Sept 25 - Oct 8)
2) casual
3) "famous" restaurant is The Carnivore but quality is so-so (barbecue) and lots of people - we have eaten a very good lunch at Nairobi Serena hotel
4) have not been any further than our beach hotel at Diani Beach (Mombasa southcoast)
