Long weekend in Cape Town from UK - thanks

Just returned from 4 days with wife in CT from UK. Perfect for winter sun, long flight but no jet lag as there is only 2 hrs difference. Many thanks for past threads on Fodors as I had no surprises and allowed me to plan each day ahead. For the record we used;

Car hire: used Cape Corporate. Super Service, new small car with ac, 225/day all in and I was only charged ~ 120rand for their petrol fill for about 500kms.

Hotel: Commodore, waterfront: No complaints here. Excellent service, rooms, breakfasts, location - 1450 rand/night with cape-hotels.com. For real peace of mind no problems walking in the area.

Restaurants: eating out was half cost of UK. Had great meals at Marinars Wharfe, Houte bay and Balduccis, Waterfront. OK meals at Quay 4 and Mama Africas, long st (worth it for the performance)

Did a few of the tourist sites (stellenbosch, sunday market, cape point, penguins), time for beach and shopping but left enought to bring kids back to later.
