Lodging in Eilat
Does anyone have suggestions for inexpensive lodging in Eilat?
|
Alison,
I notice you're left with no reply... I could suggest some good hotels in Eilat, but they are probably expensive. I learned that to reserve a room from outside Israel is more expensive than from within Israel... That's because hotels charge more tourists, than Israelis (a common practice in Europe also). So, if you have someone in Israel, ask him/her to check for a deal. There are many great deals for Israelis in some of the best hotels in Eilat. As long as you stay there not around the Passover holiday, you could fid a bargain, again reserved from within Israel. |

Check the Isram site: www.isram.com they specialize in Israel and in their brochures list the various hotels in Eilat and may do so on their website. Not knowing where you are traveling thru, if you're already in Israel, Isram often has mini-packs that include your air/hotel/transfers for Eilat and this might fit your needs. If you can't find the info online, Isram is located in NYC and have both a local and 800#, so call for the info. You might also inquire of the 1-day trip to Petra (Jordan - you'll need a Visa, which can be obtained at border, so be sure you have extra passport-size photos, just in case) from Eilat - something not to miss when you're so close. If you don't like what Isram offers, you can probably arrange this 1-day Petra tour direct thru your hotel in Eilat. I hope this helps. |

http://www.inisrael.com/tour/main.html http://www.bestdealstoisrael.com/ These 2 airlines fly to Eilat and have good deals on flight+hotel: http://www.israirairlines.com/ https://www.arkia.co.il/ltr/eng/home.htm |
Check out http://www.inisrael.com/isrotel/ Isrotel is a very reputable Israeli hotel chain. They have 4* and 5* hotels that are very reasonably priced. |
You'd have to hook up with a tour group that is renting a bullet proof bus at this time. Do a google search for Rachel's tomb, and you should find one.

lindy, no need for bullet proof bus to Eilat. only if you insist on going to the West bank or Gaza strip.

Yes, I must have been accidentally respodnsing to something else.
