Livingstone to Vic Falls airport - visas?

Hi

We are booked to fly into Livingstone and are staying on the Zambian side of Vic Falls for 3 days. However my FF flights could only get me out from Vic Falls airport on the Zimbabwe side. I have a UK passport so what will I have to pay in terms of visas, departure taxes, etc? I am trying to work out the total cost so I can compare to the price of a paid for ticket from Livingstone (to avoid all the hassle).

Thanks
John

It's different for different nationalities. I believe it's £36 for UK folk; we paid US$40 a couple of months ago.

On http://www.consolidatedtravel.com.au/qf/taxes.asp it says international departure taxes ex-Zimbabwe are US$30 or equivalent.

John,

it hapenned the same to me, I had to fly to Zimbabwe, but I was staying in Zambia (The Zambezi Sun Hotel, from where you can walk 5 min to the amazing waterfalls).
At the airport we had to pay USD 30.00 each (I am Brazilian, I donīt know if the tax there is the same for every country) for the zimbabwean visa, and then at the border to Zambia (itīs a bridge that connects the two countries) we had our passports stamped at no cost for the Zambian entrance (we had to show the hotels reservation). We had to stamp it once again when we went to the bridge (walking from our hotel) to the bungee jump site, but no problem and hassle at all.

Hope I helped!

Meant to say, yes, single-entry required. Cash only. Be sure you save some Sterling or dollars or Rand or Euros or something.

I must say that the line I had to be in the Zimbabwean airport (forgot the name) was ENOURMOUS! We spent 1 and 1/2 hour at this line, to get our visas there.
That was so silly: one person opens you passport, the second person glues the visa on it, the third stamps it, and the forth gets your money. It is incredible. But when youīre in Africa, almost everything is incredible. And wonderful.
