I'm a little confused. There has been no one stepping up to say exactly where either attack took place- we have 3 possible distinct locations so far, and the attacks were in two separate years--- this is a fact.

luangwablondes -- In 2007 a lion research vehicle was attacked. I guess that the researcher already knew the lion or at least recognized some individual characteristics. If he had a look at the 2006 pictures then they know...

Well, we are all wrong. It took place near Skeleton Coast camp. AT the time, lions were not to be seen in that area since 1972 except 40 kms to the south.
A few days after the incident, a lion researcher came to observe the lion.

I am checking to see if the private safari guide (well known) on that safari would release his 'diary' for that event.
Luckily he was there, the camp guide didn't spot the lion. The photographer who caught the whole thing, George Marquart, did this while his vehicle was reversing.

We talked earlier about the lion researcher - Safaritalk has just interviewed Dr. Philip (Flip) Stander regarding his work with the desert lions of Namibia and asks specifically about this incident.
