Lindblat Egypt/ordan Trip

I see that at least a couple of posters have been on a Lindblat tour of Egypt. We are thinking of signing up for the 10-day Exploring Egypt tour in November with the 5 day Jordan/Petra extension. Any comments on your experiences with this tour company, the tour itself and the accomadations on their Nile cruise ship will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Alexistar, could I ask the price of this tour? I am looking for an Egypt/Jordan trip also. Thanks.

If your trip with Lindblad is anything like the trip I took with them recently to the Galapagos and Peru it will be absolutely first class.

My parents, who were extremely critical of everything, took a few Lindblat tours & loved them.

P_M, Lindbladt offers two Egypt tours, a 10-day trip and a 15-day trip. You can view the itineraries and prices at www.expeditions.com. I don't think the cost of the 4 night Jordan extension is listed on the website. It's an additional $1690 (double occupancy) in 2007, and $1790 in 2008. There is an additional charge of $285 for the round-trip flight from Cairo to Amman.

That seems pretty steep, maybe stick with them for the egypt part of your travels but find antherlocally-based agency to organise the Jordan (Ptera/Wadi Rum) side of things at better rates. I have had experience with Jordan Tours & Travel, run by a grumpy (though persevere) guy named eid. The money we payed meant that we experienced a truly magical evening excursion into Petra by candlelight. Also we cooked some local food at a place called the Kitchen or something, and apart from that we had a very memorable night sleeping under the stars in Wadi Rum. Check them out I think you could do worse: http://www.jordantours-travel.com/

Re the Jordan extension is that $1790 per person for double occupancy or for 2 people? Thanks
