Lillipets, excellent, love the yawning lion and the lilipad is great. you might want to go to tinyurl.com and put the link into that so your page doesn't run all over as it does when you put in a rather long link.

Lillipets - here's the tinyurl version of your link.

http://tinyurl.com/gem2h

Hopefully it works. (Except that Walgreen seems to require users to sign in to see the photos.)

matnikstym Sep 13th, 2006 08:21 AM

yeah Walgreen's does, but it's quick free and don't have to wait for an email with a code....instant access!

Lillipets Sep 13th, 2006 09:17 AM

Yeah...Yeah...I know using Walgreens is probably like going to Walmart to buy "fine jewelry" but it seemed like the simplest way to go about this. And it's becoming quite obvious to all of us that even "simple" is beyond me!
Every time I manage to get something to do what I want I can't remember how I got to that point!
Anyway, I have a call in to my computer trouble shooter since I can't access Pete's Pond either! I downloaded the plug in required but I keep getting a message that says I need Windows 98.I have Windows XP so I'm not sure why it won't work. I'm hoping he can give me a personal tutorial on how to do all this, including posting some of my video.
In the mean time,I'll just keep trying!
Thanks for the "tinyurl" tip. I've seen that listed before and my brain just translated it into a site for "tiny Earl"! And since I don't know anyone named Earl I ignored it!!
See I told you I need something simpler than simple!

Lily,
The baby eles were adorable. You found a drinking giraffe. I've always wanted to see one. The giraffe bookends were exceptional.

Sundowner,
Thanks for the mobile advice.

Dennis,
You are just full of it today! Good advice that is! First, when I saw the username/password in the Walgreens post I gave up until I saw your suggestion. Walgreen's actually produces a nice display.

That tinyurl is brilliant. You should really just do a separate thread on that and enlighten us all. So often a post gets elongated and too hard to read because of a giant url. This solves the problem. What handy advice! Thanks.

I'm glad to hear some of my pix are getting through. I'll keep trying to add more.
In the meantime, another funny story:
Nick's son in law worked at a lodge once where 2 hippos got into a huge fight on the lawn. One knocked the other into the swimming pool! How do you get a hippo out of a swimming pool?
They had to drain all the water out of the pool and fill one end with enough sand for the hippo to climb out! I can't begin to imagine how long that took!

That sounds like the start of a joke, "How do you get a hippo out of a pool?" Tales from the bush are something else! Another good one.

Here's more pix (I hope)
I think I may be getting the hang of this!
Now let'see if I remember how to do this tomorrow!

lilipets~You crack me up! Since you don't know anyone named Earl you never clicked....so I guess you have a friend named Dotcom? :)

Lillipets Sep 14th, 2006 02:32 AM

No, but I DO know a Doc Tom!

Sorry, I couldn't resist. That pun is even making me groan!

lily:
I've been catching up on reports--this was very enjoyable to read--from your almost seeing a honey badger start to the gabriela story. Lots of good ideas for a moderately priced Botswana trip to boot. thanks.

Here are links to more of my photos. Some of them may be repeats. There is one set with music that I didn't pick and forgot to delete before posting.

My computer crashed last week- now I know why the Mother Board has that name...when it crashes you find yourself yelling Mother @#%%*&&! I'm back up and on line but I had to use up the money I had set aside for my next safari!

The tree with the pretty purple flowers has such a wonderful name..it's called a Rain Tree. Sounds like something very poetic doesn't it? Well we were informed that at certain times of the year there are so many spittle bugs in the tree that all the bugs defecating at once sounds like rain! EEEEWWW!

The photo of the pear has a story behind it(no pun intended). We were getting so many photos of animals behinds that we decided we should come out with a calendar titled "The Buns Of Botswana". Or maybe "Butswana"! When I pulled that pear from the fruit bowl it seemed like even the fruit had buns!
I think I have one more set of pictures to get posted. I'll work on that next...but don't hold your breath!

Lily
