Any new news on visas to Libya?

jd51 - Unfortunately, no. Have not heard anything from the UK-based agent who said he will notify me once visas are being issued again.

I hold both US and UK passports, and live in the US. Do you know whether the US ban also applies to UK citizens? I imagine I need the Treasury Dept approval even if I travel on the UK passport?

From what I understand, there is no US ban on travel to Libya. The difficulty, rather, arises in obtaining the Libyan visa, which are more easily given to those on a tour than to independent travelers.
