I could suggest few hotels, but usually good hotels are pretty expensive in Lebanon.
Beirut : The Summerland ( very luxurious hotel on the beach with swimming pools, restaurants, cafes..)
Phone:01-863844, the other choices are the Riviera, with a view on the sea tel1- 602 273
iN downtown you can try the Bristol, The Alexandre ( both classics with reporters )and away from the city you have the Al Bustan in the mountains, a lovely place to stay & rest & The Byblos sur Mer, a very nice hotel in the coastal town of Byblos where there'e the Ruins to visit. The Byblos sur mer has an excellent sea food restaurant called L'Oursin, it's a quite popular place during the week ends.
Make sure to Visit Beit Ed -Dine in the Chouf mountains, the Jeita caves trully amazing, the town of Byblos & the ruines, The ruins of Baalbeck in the Bekaa valley, the old downtown of Beirut & the restored buildings, have a walk on the Corniche next to the sea, a c where you can buy a coffe while walking. As for restaurants there's so many of them that's it's hard to suggest as food is excellent in Lebanon.May be try Marrouche in the Hamra district,The Chase both in achrafieh jounieh,Sultan Ibrahim & Karam for the lebanese food.Beirut is quite safe , people are friendly and most of the people speak either french or english & are extremly helpfull.
Have a good one
