Larsen's Camp Samburu

I have heard some good and not so good things about this particular camp. Can anyone recommend it?
I was also wondering if there is electricity available or just certain hours. Does this mean at night, it would be pitch dark? Not sure what to expect, so any insight appreciated.
Thanks,
Annie

Anything negative must have occurred back a few years, as Larsen's has been closed.

Larsen's redux reopened this past summer, with 17-tents and it's supposed to be absolutely lovely. There is electricity, which may be 24/7 or shut down during afternoon game drives 4-7pm, then again after 11pm or 12M. This is not unusual at many camps.

As to dark - not with all those billions and billions of stars in the sky. Even in pitch dark it doesn't take but a few seconds for the eye to adjust and you can find your way around. Besides, everyone should have their own flashlight... though most lodges provide for each room.

Whether staying at Larsen's or elsewhere, night is dark and dark is dark!
