Lake Tarangire/Ngorongoro crater
 

Going to the Serengeti end of feb. to beginning march(14 daya). How many days would you stay in lake manyara,tarangire and ngorongoro crater areas?

Assume this is for 2014?

Tarangire - minimum 2/nts

Manyara - 1/nt

Ngorongoro - 2/nts, especially if you with to participate in other activities besides the crater tour; each crater tour is limited to 6/hrs, why some do back-to-back, one on afternoon of arrival and the other next morning; then afternoon 2nd day might do a Crater Rim Walk of Olmoti Crater trek.

Serengeti - you sure have time for 4+/nts and would suggest splitting time between the Ndutu area and Southern/Central Serengeti.

If looking for some 'out-of-vehicle' time, the area at Karatu (between Manyara/Ngorongoro), some lovely resorts where you can arrange walks, horseback or bike riding, school and/or orphanage visits, or just chillin' from the bumping around on game drives.

You have additional days and if not then heading to Zanzibar for 'beach' R&R time (min. 3/nts), can on arrival JRO/Arusha, spend day after with a visit to Arusha Natl Park, where while no predators, some species you won't find elsewhere; can also do walks, canoe safari.

For the time of year you are going, you'd be better off focusing on the southern and perhaps central Serengeti. The Migration herds will be in the south and the predators will be in abundance around the herds. The central Serengeti also has a good resident population of wildlife, too.

Sayari is a lovely camp located at the very Northern Serengeti, best visited between Aug-Nov.

You should select camps in the Ndutu/SESerengeti or Ndutu/Central Serengeti. If you plan 4/nts, you can consider splitting with 2/nts each between these.

If only 3/nts, spend it in the Ndutu/SESerengeti only.
