Kruger safari lodge advice & Durban info

Hi
Spending 8 nights in September travelling from Durban on safari. We want 2 nights at each lodge to see lots of different animals & environments, have a variety of food (vegetarian), & decors (preferably old-fashioned, colonial-style rather than super-modern!)
Have decided definitely the following:
1) 2 nights Phinda Forest Lodge (nearest to Durban)
2) Choice of 2 nights at either Ivory Lodge at Lion Sands (but is it too modern?), Selati Sabi Sands, Garonga Hambleden suite, MalaMala, Tanda Tula or Jock Safari camp???
3)2 nights Londolozi
4)2 nights Royal Malewane
Any info to help us decide our 3rd & 4th night please, plus any advice/ info on Durban (restaurants, activities).
Thanks

plumette,

All you are doing by jumping around so much is costing yourself game drives. I guarantee you that you will be going to Phinda for 3 game drives as you will need to leave early to get over to Sabi Sand the same day without overnighting in Joburg.

Why not spend 3 nights in Phinda, 3 nights at a place like Simbambili and then your final 2 nights in grand style at Royal Malewane or Singita?
