Kruger in late, late October?

I'm having a hard time finding info on if Kruger in last week of October is good or too rainy. Any advice?

October should be fine weather wise but nothing is guaranteed anymore!
Sunny days but chilly nights because it's still spring.

Also, there is an excellent guide book for Kruger that you should have if driving there. Title "Kruger national Park" published by Globetrotter, ISBN1-84537-522-X, $10 from amazon.com, it also includes a large great map of Kruger.

Page 8 has a chart of rain fall, for Oct it is 1 inch. And says- "A distinct wet season exists, usually beginning in October and continuing through to April. But, even during this period, it is unusual to have more than four or five rainy days per month." Sounds fine to me, I'd do it. In fact, will be there in Sept, first seven days of Sept.

Hi. Was there last October. Cool early mornings and after sun goes down (especially when on back of safari vehicle - take a warm jumper, but blankets also normally provided) and we were unlucky with some rain. But once the sun is up it's never going to be too cold.
