Hi Glentoran

Strand Street is a very well known street in Cape Town. You can ask anybody where it is and they will be able to direct you to the road. Furthermore the Radisson have a shuttle that you can call on who will take you to the Budget Rent A Car office. To travel to the Budget office from the Radisson should take you about 10 minutes per car. It is too far to walk this distance. Have you thought about asking Budget to drop the car off at the Radisson?.

Hope this helps.

Glentoran - we just bought an Insight Pocket Guide to Cape Town over the weekend at Borders (I expect you could find it on Amazon or at other bookstores) It has a terrific map with all the streets and neighborhoods market, as well as some of the places you plan to visit outside the city. I've found it invaluable to have a good map while planning my trip, so I recommend you try to pick one up ASAP!

It was the map that "got" me -- I love maps. Someone also makes one of those plasticized foldout maps...don't remember how long your trip is, but they are terrific.

Glentoran - I am so envious, the Raddison is wonderful - superb location, I used to live opposite it and I'm getting very homesick thinking about the view. Even though you have a car you'll want to do the wonderful walk along the beachfront away from the Waterfront towards Bantry Bay - & 5 minutes walk from the Raddison is a great deli (name escapes me, but you won't miss it) if you get tired of hotel breakfasts
